On 29th August 2018, AgriChemWhey’s partner, Trinity College Dublin, contributed to the scientific publication of “Biodegradable Plastic Blends Create New Possibilities for End-of-Life Management of Plastics but They Are Not a Panacea for Plastic Pollution” published in Environmental Science and Technology (Environ. Sci. Technol., 2018, 52 (18), pp 10441–10452).
This collaborative article evidences that when PLA is blended with PCL it becomes home compostable. PLA is composed of lactic acid, one of the end-products of the AgriChemWhey process.
